Back to basics!

Hello Yoga Club!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and happy holiday! It is such a
special time of year, a time to share with loved ones and to reflect on and to give thanks for the many blessing in our lives. I would like to give a special thank you to everyone that participated in our first book club meeting. We had a small but passionate bunch this first time around, and I am truly looking forward to many thought provoking discussions to come. We are still considering our next bookclub venture so stay tuned for updates soon to come.

This week I am very pleased to announce that our very own Leah Lillios
will be guiding us through practice this week. Leah has an amazing gift and will be sure to inspire us all. This class will not be one to miss. Have a great week and hope to see you for practice!

Love and light,

Book Club Reading This Week!!

Greetings Kali Yuga Yoga Club!!!

I hope that you are all having a great week. The holiday season is
quickly approaching. Although this is a very exciting time of year, it
can also be a little stressful with work, holiday travel, and preparing
for holiday guests. Take a time out for yourself to recharge, relax, and
rejuvanate the soul. One way to treat yourself is by joining us for an
inspiring practice this week.

Leah Lillios, voted best instructor by the Kali Yuga Yoga Club, will be
guiding us through an amazing practice this week! This will not be one to
miss! Class will began at the usual time 6:30-7:15 (abbreviated class)
with the book club to follow.

If you are looking for a good read; be sure to grab a copy of "The Road
Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck MD, and join up for our first book club
meeting THIS week immediately following practice. The book club is open
for anyone who would like to join us, even if you have not began or
finished your reading assignment. Maybe after hearing a little discussion
about the book, you may decide to pick up a copy. ;o)

***Amy Martin***
I fell in love with hot yoga in 2003 after a challenging year brought me to a professional and personal stand still. With great friends and their encouragement I tried yoga for the first time truly out of desperation and a need for a change in my life. It was life altering! I understood how the yoga changed and would continue to change me after only one 90 minute class. I immersed myself in my practice, learning all I could through individual study and class attendance. After only 7 months of practice I find myself drawn to attend Jimmy Barkan Yoga College in Fort Lauderdale, Fl in April 2004, completing my 200 hour Hatha Yoga training in May. I immediately came back to Nashville and began my teaching career. After 3 1/2 years I am still drawn to teach and practice; for me it is a passion, a need, and a way of life. I have seen how it changes lives, bodies, and minds (especially my own) and want to share this yoga with as many people as I can, wherever I find my self.

***Power Yoga Class***
Power Yoga is a powerful blend of long holds and a vinyasa flow. The
longer holds train the mind and muscles as the flow warms the body through movement and grace. The combination is both strong and smooth, allowing all levels to access the entire body with simply challenging moves. Truly meditation in motion at it's core.
